2. App Store and Apple terms
If you download PodRecs from the Apple App Store, your use of the app is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions for the United Kingdom (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/uk/terms.html).
These Terms of Use govern your PodRecs account, the service features, recommendations, and how you use PodRecs. If anything conflicts about the licensed application as obtained from the App Store, Apple's EULA applies to that App Store licence; these Terms govern your use of the PodRecs service.
On iOS, PodRecs Premium is sold through the App Store and is subject to Apple's App Store rules.
3. What the app does
PodRecs helps you discover podcasts based on your stated interests, ratings, saved shows, listening preferences, and other signals you provide in the app.
Free accounts receive a limited number of Discover recommendations per UTC calendar day and limited similar-podcast suggestions. PodRecs Premium unlocks additional features as described in section 8.
Recommendations are provided for convenience and discovery only. We do not guarantee that recommendations will be accurate, suitable, available, or appropriate for every user.
4. Your account
You may need an account to use the app. You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method secure, including your email account when you use magic links and your Apple ID when you use Sign in with Apple.
You must provide accurate account information and must not use the app in a way that impersonates someone else or interferes with the service.
You can reset your account in Settings to clear most profile and activity data and go through onboarding again. Resetting keeps your email account and PodRecs Premium entitlement linked to that account.
You can delete your account in Settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your account-related data from our systems, subject to any limited retention required by law or necessary for security, abuse prevention, or legal purposes. Deleting your account does not by itself cancel an Apple App Store subscription.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to disrupt its operation, reverse engineer or overload the service, access accounts or systems that are not yours, submit unlawful or harmful content, or use the app for any unlawful purpose.
6. Podcast content and third-party services
The app displays podcast information, artwork, descriptions, links, and other metadata from third-party sources.
We do not control podcast content and are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, suitability, or legality of third-party podcast material. Podcast titles, descriptions, artwork, or linked websites may contain mature themes or content.
In Settings you can choose whether new Discover recommendations may include podcasts marked explicit by their publisher. Explicit labels come from third-party catalogs (including Podcast Index when we can match a show's RSS feed), not from PodRecs's own review. This filter is best-effort only: we cannot guarantee that every explicit show is excluded from Discover, that labels are complete or accurate, or that explicit material never appears elsewhere in the app (for example on Saved, similar picks, or via links to Apple Podcasts). This feature is not parental control and does not verify age.
The app may link to Apple Podcasts, podcast websites, or other external services. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Personalisation and AI-assisted features
The app uses your ratings, saved podcasts, dismissed recommendations, discovery mix, and similar signals to personalise recommendations.
Some features use AI-assisted systems, including taste insight summaries on the Tastes screen, similar-podcast suggestions from saved shows, fresh discovery candidates, and Premium Make a request (where you submit a natural-language prompt). AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unexpected, and should be treated as informational only.
Do not submit sensitive personal information in Make a request or other free-text fields.
8. PodRecs Premium and subscriptions
PodRecs Premium is an optional auto-renewing monthly subscription available on iOS through the Apple App Store. It gives you access to in-app features only. It is not a purchase of, or licence to, podcast episodes, shows, or other third-party content.
Premium unlocks unlimited Discover recommendations (beyond the free daily limit), Premium Make a request, and full similar-podcast lists on saved shows.
The price shown at purchase applies to your App Store storefront and billing currency. Payment, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled by Apple under App Store rules and charged to your Apple ID account.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID account settings under Subscriptions.
If you delete your PodRecs account, Premium entitlement data is removed from our systems, but you may still need to cancel the subscription separately in your Apple ID settings to stop future billing.
9. Privacy
Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

10. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the app available and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The app may change, be suspended, or be discontinued at any time.
We may update features, recommendation logic, free-tier limits, supported regions, third-party providers, or these terms as the service evolves.
11. No warranty
The app is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or meet your expectations.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business arising from your use of the app.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
13. Ending your use
You may stop using the app at any time. You may reset or delete your account in Settings.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, misused the service, or created legal, security, or operational risk.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
